A method for inferring a watching family member of an IPTV in a server comprises the following steps of: generating subscriber member information from subscriber information of an IPTV; analyzing a watching history of the IPTV to generate watching history member information; and generating family member information based on the subscriber member information and the watching history member information. An IPTV watching family member comprises at least one of the subscriber member information and the family member information.
