PURPOSE:A synthetic bait, obtained by binding plural animals for a fishing bait, e.g. krills, with a polysaccharide based gelling agent, having moderate shape retaining property and diffusivity of an attractant substance, and highly valuable as the fishing bait. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic bait obtained by dipping plural (usually 2-4) animals for a fishing bait, e.g. krills as well as sardines, small shrimps or chrysalises, as a set in a solution of a polysaccharide, preferably in a solution concentration adjusted to 0.1-5% in the case of sodium alginate used as the polysaccharide, dipping the above-mentioned plural animals for the fishing bait, e.g. krills, dipped in the solution of the polysaccharide further in a 0.1-10% CaCl2 solution, and allowing the animals to stand at ordinary temperature for about a whole day and night or refrigerating the animals and allowing to stand them. Thus, the aimed synthetic bait, containing the above-mentioned integrally bound plural animals for the fishing bait, and having shape retaining property is obtained. |
