PURPOSE:To improve the operability for switching of a density, which is determined in an automatic density adjustment mode, to that in a manual density adjustment mode by giving a release function of the automatic density adjustment mode to a manual density adjusting means. CONSTITUTION:The control of the quantity of light of an original or a developing bias or the similar control executed by detecting the reflected light of the original directly are called AE. A flow chart (ii) setting and displaying the quantity of light designated a correcting manner with two kinds of shift key; and when a shift key is depressed during copying, the AE mode is released immediately, and back shift by 0.5 in the correction direction is performed to change the quantity of light of exposure. If the device is in the stand-by state, an AE flag is set in case of the AE mode, and the mode is switched to the manual mode, and the aperture value is not changed. If the manual mode is already set, shift is executed at intervals of a prescribed time. A timer is reset when keys 204 and 205 are depressed continuously, and the timer is set to the end value if they are not depressed, and the timer is set to perform shift each time when keys are depressed. The aperture value is held if the key 204 or 205 is not depressed. |
