PURPOSE:To obtain a polished stainless steel strip easy to remove an adhered substance and excellent in anti-staining property, by polishing a cold rolled steel plate in two stages through a plurality of belt polishing machines and bright annealing and temper rolling are applied to the polished steel strip. CONSTITUTION:After a cold rolled stainless steel strip 5 is passed through a leveler 8, the leveled steel strip is connected to the preceding steel strip to be passed through a belt polishing machines. At first, endless belts 11a-11d having polishing particles with a particle size of #120-320 adhered thereto are attached to 2-4 inlet side polishing machines 10a-10d and polishing is performed while rotating the same. In the next step, endless cork belts 12a, 12b having polishing particles with a particle size of #320-400 are attached to two or more of succeeding polishing machines 10e, 10b to perform polishing. The polished steel strip is wound up by a tension reel 18 while liner paper 17 is inserted and a welded part is cut by a shear 19. Bright annealing and temper rolling are applied to the steel strip after polishing is completed by a usual method. By this method, a stainless steel strip easy to remove an adhered substance and inconspicious in stain mark is obtained. |
