PURPOSE:To provide a coating compsn. for metal, which has excellent corrosionproofness, insulating properties and resistance to water and impact, by incorporating a specified polyol and an org. polyisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. consists of a polyurethane resin obtd. by reacting 100-10pts.wt. polyol (a) whose main chain is composed only of C and H and which has at least two hydroxyl groups per molecule, 0-90pts.wt. castor oil or derivative thereof (b), 0-300pts.wt. compd. (c) having at least two hydroxyl and/or amino groups and a hydroxyl and/or amine value of higher than 120mg KOH/g and an org. polyisocyanate compd. (d) in such a quantity as to give a ratio of NCO/(OH+NH2) of 0.85-1.5, wherein (OH+NH2) is the sum of hydroxyl and amino groups in components (a), (b) and (c).
