摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device and a projector that can enhance light-emitting efficiency of a phosphor.SOLUTION: The light source device includes an excitation light source for emitting excitation light L1, a phosphor layer 52 which receives the excitation light L1 and discharges fluorescent light L2 having a wavelength different from that of the excitation light L1, a reflector 51 which is arranged on the opposite side to an incident side where the excitation light L1 of the phosphor layer 52 enters and reflects both of the excitation light L1 and the fluorescent light L2, and a wavelength selecting reflection layer 53 which is arranged on an optical path between the excitation light source and the phosphor layer 52 and transmits the fluorescent light L2. The wavelength selecting reflection layer 53 transmits the excitation light L1 incident into the same 53 at an incident angle within a prescribed incident angle range and reflects the excitation light L1 incident into the wavelength selecting reflection layer 53 at an incident angle out of the prescribed incident angle range. The excitation light source makes the excitation light L1 incident into the wavelength selecting reflection layer 53 at an incident angle within the prescribed incident angle.
