PURPOSE:To obtain always a beautiful character picture by deciding a character size in an input picture and changing the smoothing processing depending on the size. CONSTITUTION:A character on an original is inputted to a picture memory 2 by picture input device. One character's share of the input picture stored in the memory 2 is transferred to a segmenting memory 5 through a CPU4. The CPU4 decides whether the picture is transferred through a smoothing circuit 3 or not through the circuit 3 depending on the transferred character size and the larger the character size is, the more number of times the character is transferred through the circuit 3. After the end of this processing, a video signal is transferred to the original position of the memory 2. |
