PURPOSE:To eliminate a mail not delivered because of dissidence between inforamtion processors of address amanging information by transmitting at first only an envelope in mail transmision then tansmitting a document newly after the address is confirmed and modified in a decentralized control type electronic mail system. CONSTITUTION:The user A describes a name D on an envelope of a mail as an address. The envelope and the document are handed over in pairs to an information processor 10 for the transmission. The information processor 10 references the address described on the envelope with the said address managing information 12 and recognizes that Mr. D is a user of an information processor 20. Then, the information processor 10 transmits the envelope part only to the information processor 20 so as to confirm whether the address being Mr. D exits surely or not. The information processor 20 references the address of the received envelope with contents of an address managing information storage device 22, and when the address exists, the envelope is returned and the transmission of the document is commanded. |
