The invention relates to a digital direct-indicating and warning rod-dosimeter for personal dosimetry, having a housing of small construction, for example of the size and shape of a writing device, a monitor for audible warning and a dose and/or dose rate measurement with a display module having an extremely wide measuring range. The device for personal dosimetry is particularly well suited to practical applications since it combines an extremely small construction with low weight and direct reading display with a wide range for a direct warning, and in addition the possibility of setting fixed dose warning thresholds.
