PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality images by constituting a rotor of a motor and a polygon mirror for scanning optical information into one body. CONSTITUTION:The rotor of a flat motor and the polygon mirror are made into one body. A flange part 4a is formed in the intermediate position of a shaft 4 supported axially by bearings 3 and 3, and a rotor-shaped magnet 8a is fixed to the flange part 4a. The outside circumferential edge of the magnet 8a is formed into a polygon, and respective faces are formed with specular faces to reflect a laser beam, and thus, the magnet 8a not only functions as the rotor of a driving motor but also functions as a rotary polygon mirror. Magnetic materials such as a barium ferrite or the like are formed into a polygon, and copper or the like is melt-spyrayed to them, and this foundation is plated with copper or electroless- plated with pickel in accordance with the wavelength of a laser, and these materials are cut pricisely and are polished into specular faces and are magnetized, thus forming the magnet 8a. Since the rotor of the motor and the polygon mirror for scanning optical information are constituted into one body in this manner, the whole of the device is simplified, and high-quality images are obtained. |
