PURPOSE:To enable a positive tablet for a nonaqueous solution battery to be most easily and economically manufactured by combining manganese dioxide or the like with specified amounts of graphite, clay and water before the mixture is kneaded and granulated, then subjecting granules to pressure molding before the molded body is heated to a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:100Pts. of manganese dioxide or a meta oxide similar to manganese dioxide are combined with 0.5-100pts. of graphite powder used as a conductive member and 0.5-10pts. of clay used as a binder and consisting of 57- 73% SiO2, 22-37% Al2O3, 4-7% H2O and about 3% other members. Next, 1- 15% of water is added to the mixture before it is well kneaded and granulated. Granules of 30-300 mesh among the thus prepared granules are subjected to pressure molding to make a table of given shape and dimensions. After that, the tablet is heated to 20-45 deg.C to remove water contained in it, thereby obtaining a positive tablet. By the means mentioned above in which manufacturing is performed in the usual atmosphere, the manufacturing is easily carried out and the dimensional accuracy, the density, the strength and the like of the positive tablet can be easily controlled. |
