发明名称 ALKALINE ZINC SECONDARY BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the cycle characteristic of an alkaline zine secondary battery by providing it with a zinc electrode obtained by placing polyacetylene films inside zinc active-material layers and installing dendrite-preventing layers on the outer surfaces of the zinc active-material layers. CONSTITUTION:After 10% of a polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion and water are added to mixture powder composed of 90 parts active material zinc-oxide powder and 10 parts mercury oxide powder, the mixture is kneaded. The kneaded mixture is then subjected to rolling to obtain a zinc active-material layer of given thickness. After first zinc active-material layers 2a and 2a are pressed and affixed to the surfaces of a negative current collector 3, polyacetylene films 4 and 4 are pressed and affixed to the outer surfaces of the layers 2a and 2a, then second zinc active-material layers 2b and 2b are pressed and affixed to the outer surfaces of the polyacetylene films 4 and 4. After that, dendrite-preventing layers 5 and 5 made of calcium hydroxide are pressed and affixed to the outer surfaces of the second zinc active-material layers 2b and 2b, thereby making a zinc electrode. As a result, not only dendrite generated from the surface of the zinc electrode but also that generated from its innermost area can effectively be suppressed, thereby remarkably improving the cycle characteristic of the battery.
