PURPOSE:A composition capable of providing a molded magnetic substance having both thermoplasticity and silicone-like property, improved mechanical strength and good quality, prepared by uniformly dispersing powdered magnetic material in a thermoplastic elastomer containing a polysiloxane. CONSTITUTION:A powdery magnetic material is uniformly dispersed in a mixture of a thermoplastic elastomer as the principal component and a polysiloxane. The content of the polysiloxane is preferably 0.05-10wt%. When this content is below 0.05wt%, the effect is hardly exhibited, while when it exceeds 10wt%, the effect increases no more. Preferred powdered magnetic materials include, a material represented by the formula: MO.6Fe2O3, wherein M is a metal atom such as Ba, Sr, or Pb. The mixing ratio of the above mixture to the powdered magnetic material is preferably 5-80:95-20 by weight.
