PURPOSE:To provide high shelf stability and to obtain a clear image having sharpened toe by incorporating a specified compound into at least one or hydrophilic colloidal layers formed on a support. CONSTITUTION:A compond represented by the formula is incorporated as a fogging agent into at least one of hydrophilic colloidal layers contg. internal latent image type silver halide particles formed on a support. The fogging agent may be incorporated into said silver halide emulsion layer and/or a hydrophilic colloidal layer adjacent to the emulsion layer such as a photosensitive silver halide layer, an intermediate layer, a filter layer, a protective layer or an anti- halation layer. When two or more kinds of fogging agents are used, they are preferably incorporated into the same layer. By using the fogging agent in a direct positive photosensitive material, a favorable fogging effect is produced, high shelf stability at high temp. and humidity is provided, and the toe is sharpened. Ununiform development and stain are not caused, and a high quality image is obtd. |
