PURPOSE:To obtain titled composition provided with flame-retardancy without accompanying any impairment in its performance such as moldability, by incorporating a thermoplastic resin with a specific flame-retardant and woodmeal impregnated, nearly to the saturated state, with a particular thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin (e.g., polypropylene resin) with (B) as a flame-retardant, pref. 30-60pts.wt. of guanylurea phosphate and (C) as a filler, pref. 60-120pts.wt. of woodmeal impregnated, nearly to the saturated state, with a thermosetting resin (e.g., phenol-formaldehyde resin) capable of generating gas on decomposition at high temperatures leading to formation a flame-retardant barrier together with said flame-retardant.
