PURPOSE:To attain a high-speed track accessing by shifting an optical head at a high speed in the tracking direction in a state that the position in the disk radius direction is detected and a condenser lens at a fixed position of a head base is positioned and fixed. CONSTITUTION:When an optical head 0 reaches a place ahead of a target position by controlling a speed, a head actuator 12 is driven based on the position signal of the head 0 detected by a head position detector 13. Then the position of the head 0 is controlled so that the position signal is set at 0. When the head 0 is shifted at a high speed, a mobile part 8 containing a condenser lens is fixed at the position of a head base 1 for the movement of the part 8 in the tracking direction. As a result, no shift of position is virtually caused with the part 8 even to the large acceleration and decerelation. In such a way, the track access time is considerably shortened. |
