PURPOSE:To prevent the seizure and breakage of a compressor shaft, by tapering the front end portion of a helical spring and immersing the front end portion in stored lubricating oil to supply the oil by the spring. CONSTITUTION:When a shaft 4 is rotated, lubricating oil 12 is pushed up along the spiral inside of a closely fitted helical spring 22 to horizontal holes 16, 17, 18 and supplied to clearances 19, 20, 21. If the inside diameter A of the spring were larger than that of a vertical hole 14, the oil 12 would collide against the lower end 25 of the shaft 4 and the oil supplying force would be greatly decreased. In fact, the inside diameter A and that of the vertical hole 14 are almost equal to each other so that the lubricating oil 12 is smoothly pushed up. About 1.3 to 2 times as much oil supply power as a conventional lubricating pump 13 is obtained by the closely fitted helical spring 22. As a result, the shaft 4 does not seize on an upper bearing 9, a roller 6 and a lower bearing 10 during the operation of an enclosed compressor 1. |
