PURPOSE:To eliminate the temperature difference between both inner and outer frictional parts of a brake disc to prevent the frictional surfaces of the disc from being inclined so that ununiform abrasion of pads, the generation of brake sounding, etc. may be restrained, by making the bulk of an inner pad side larger than that of an outer pad side, and as well by making the total heat capacity of the inner pad side balanced with that of the outer pad side including parts attached to a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The thickness (circumferential thickness) of each rib 6 is increased gradually from the outer frictional part 1 side to the inner frictional part 2 side. Therefore, the bulk of the outer pad side rib part 5a is made larger than the inner pad side rib part 6b so that the total heat capacity of an inner disc side part is increased to make the total capacity balanced with the total heat capacity of the outer side disc part. With this arrangement, the rates of temperature rise of both frictional parts 1, 2 may be made equal or substantially equal together. Accordingly, the thermal-expansions of both inner and outer frictional parts 1, 2 may be made equal or substantially equal together, and therefore, both frictional parts may be prevented from deforming under a high temperature condition in the inclining directions thereof. |
