PURPOSE:To hold the rotating body of a magnetic rotary sensor and a magneto- resistance element at a specific-width interval and to prevent the occurrence of discharge by using ceramic material for the rotating body. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 2 driven by a motor 1 is coupled with a magnetic drum 3 made of an alumina sintered body as the rotating body, and a magnetic recording medium 24 having a magnetic pattern magnetized at constant pitch is arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the drum 3. The thin-film type magneto-resistance element 7 is formed on the surface of a substrate 6 fixed to a supporting base 5. The magnetic drum 3 is made of ceramic, so the magnetic recording medium 4 and the element 7 are protected against a spark, etc., due to discharge even when a high voltage 9 is applied between the motor 1 and the earth and the interval 8 between the medium 4 and the element 7 is held constant. |
