The system consists of (a) advancing a pincer or clamp with arms separated towards the open mouth of the stick, until it appreciably passes over the opening; (b) closing the clamp to grip the opening at one point on its periphery; (c) rotating the clamp to cause twisting of the stick between the section gripped and the remainder, and a strangulation closure, by a variable number of turns; and (d) axial displacement of clamp to fit the gripped sector and the strangulated section into the empty interior.
