<p>The pattern wheel has a rotatable cylindrical body (7) carrying around its body drop wires or jacks (10) which are clamped to the body by inclined surfaces (18,19), preferably of V and inverted V-shape, which surfaces are preferably formed on a flange (26) of the body and a displacable ring (12) on the body. The surfaces (18, 19) bias the wires or jacks towards a central mounting pin (2) of the wheel. The clamping arrangement enables simple programming of a knitting machine by facilitating the required arrangement of specifically formed wires or jacks, which operate jacks (15) on a sinker bed (16) of the knitting machine. <IMAGE></p> |
