A fastening device (6) for the lateral guide rails (1) for the lamellae, strips or slats of blinds, roller shutters or the like consists of a console (10, 19), to be arranged on the building side, and of connection members for arranging the guide rails (1) on the console. To simplify the mounting work, it is envisaged according to the invention that the fastening device (6) has two wall regions (4), guided displaceably in one another, of the guide rail (1) between mutually bordering clamping parts (7, 8) which can be clamped together by an adjustment member (9) directed perpendicularly to the clamping direction. The result is the particular advantage that the adjustment or clamping member (9) to be actuated is actuated parallel to the blind plane. In this direction, however, the consoles (10, 19) are always conveniently accessible both from a scaffold in the case of external mounting and from the room in the case of internal mounting. <IMAGE>
