PURPOSE:To make the machining of an NiTi alloy ever so easy, by machining such an alloy as containing Ni in a specified rate and being composed of Ti in the rest as well as carrying a form memory effect in a way of keeping it in a temperature range being higher in specific temperature than its inverse transformation temperature. CONSTITUTION:An alloy containing a 50-60wt% of Ni and is composed of Ti in the rest or such one that is substituted with more than one type of elements selected out of a group in which part of the Ni and Ti contains Cu, Fe, Co, V, Al and Zr and that it carries a form memory effect is formed into such a material 1 that has a specified form characteristic. And, this material 1 is made to take curvature and fixed to a jig 2 with a bind line 3. Next, an inert gas is taken in from an inflow port 4, while a heating body 5 is heated to some extent whereby the material 1 is kept in a temperature range being higher as far as a range of 250-500 deg.C than its inverse transformation temperature amid an inert gas ambience. And, under this condition, drilling takes place for this material 1 with a cemented carbide cutting tool 6. |
