PURPOSE:To permit the manual movement and continuous driving of small- size piles by a method in which a small-size engine and a hammer device are set in a portable frame, and a guide cylinder into which the head of a pile is to be inserted is provided to the lower part of the hammer head. CONSTITUTION:When an engine 7 is actuated under the condition that the lower frame 1a is placed on the ground's surface, the rotation is transmitted to a shaft 11, a small gear 12, and a large gear 13, a crank pin 14 is turned, and a piston 16 is vertically moved with a striker by a cone rod 15. By a worker, the pile driver is lifted up through the hand grips 2a and 2b of a portable frame 1, a pile guide cylinder 22 is covered on the head of the pile 25 lightly erected in advance, and the hammer head 21 is put on the head of the pile 25. The hammer head 21 is struck by the striker 20, and then the head of the pile 25 is struck by the hammer head 21 to drive the pile. When the driving of one pile is ended, the hammer head 21 moves onto the head of the adjacent erected pile, and therefore, continuous driving of piles can be attained. |
