PURPOSE:To prevent lack of heating capacity and damage of refrigeration cycle from occurring, by a method wherein, at the time of superloading of heating, the number of revolutions of a compressor is reduced to a minimum, which is turned into a low speed further and returned to an original state when an overload sensor is not in operation for a fixed period of time. CONSTITUTION:When overloading in heating is sensed by a pressure switch 1 at the time of the heating, the overloading of the heating is released by reducing the number of revolutions of a compressor 4 to a regulated minimum, the number of revolutions of the compressor 4 is returned to the far lower number of revolutions available when the pressure switch is in operation after that, and the number of revolutions of the compressor 4 is returned to the former number of revolutions when the pressure switch 1 is not operated for a fixed period of time. The matter, therefore, that capacity of the titled device cannot be displayed as a loading state of the heating is turned into the overloading state of the heating is eliminated, comfort is improved as a blow-off temperature of an air conditioner can be kept constant and damage of a refrigeration cycle generated at the time of the overloading of the heating while the compressor 4 is being operated at the minimum number of revolutions can be prevented.
