<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to release and remove a steel cord layer mechanically, economically and efficiently, by cutting off side wall sections, cutting a suitable point of the annular tread transversely, and passing the tread between a pair of grooved rolls whose circumferential speeds are different. CONSTITUTION:A steel cord type tire 1 consists of right and left side wall sections 2, 2 including bead sections, shoulder sections, etc. and a tread 3. The tread 3 includes an outer rubber layer 4 and a steel cord layer 5 comprising an intermediate steel layer 5A and an inner cotton cord layer 5B.
