A device for recording these video signals comprises three recording channels (C, D, E), two channels (C, D) receiving the chrominance signals DR and DB respectively, whereas the third channel (E) receives the luminance information signal E'Y, the output signals from the three recording channels being applied to a mixing circuit (84) whose output is connected to at least one unit (85) for recording the video signals on a recording medium.
