PURPOSE:To improve heat radiation from a ballast contained in a base while to facilitate lamp assembling work, by integrally assembling an intermediate casing fixed with a ballast, light emission bulb, outer casing, etc. and bringing the ratio between powers to be radiated from the outer casing and to be consumed in the ballast above specific level. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate casing 14 is secured through adhesives to a light emission bulb 6 then a ballast 3 is joined tightly to a rising section 22 provided previously in said casing 14 and inserted thereafter the welding section 15 is secured through electric spot welding. The ratio between powers to be radiated from the outer casing and to be consumed by the ballast is brought higher than 0.66. In order to increase said ratio (D), the thickness (t) of said casing 14 is increased, the dimension (C) is reduced, etc. |
