PURPOSE:To provide a polyamide resin compsn. which exhibits excellent thermal stability during molding and gives moldings having excellent flame retardance, strength, etc., by blending glass fiber, a brominated polystyrene and antimony trioxide with a polyamide resin mixture having a specified composition. CONSTITUTION:10-130pts.wt. glass fiber, 1-25pts.wt. brominated polystyrene of the formula (wherein n is 10-200; m is 1-4) and 1-25pts.wt. antimony trioxide are blended with 100pts.wt. polyamide resin mixture obtd. by mixing 70-97wt% polyamide resin derived from xylylenediamine and a straight-chain aliph. dibasic acid such as adipic or suberic acid with 30-3wt% nylon 66 to obtain the desired flame-retardant polyamide resin compsn. If desired, inorg. filler, antioxidant, antistatic agent, plasticizer, etc. may be blended with the resin compsn.
