PURPOSE:To prevent silver from being dissolved out during the production by a method wherein a silver layer is provided to the surface of a high molecular film, which has a function of letting hydrogen ions in a solution permeate through, directly or with a halogenized silver layer in between. CONSTITUTION:A halogenized silver layer 12 is formed on a high molecular film 11 and a silver thin film 13 is deposited on the layer 12 in vacuum. The halogenized silver layer 12 can be obtained directly by deposition or can be obtained by such a way that after the silver film is deposited on the high molecular film 11 the silver film is exposed in a halogen gas atmosphere. A lead wire 16 is connected to the silver thin film 13 with silver paste and the like and the film 13 is supported by a glass plate 14. The high molecular film 11 introduced here has a function of letting hydrogen ions in a solution permeate through and made of material such as phenol polymer, polycarbonate, polypropylene and polyvinylidene chloride. A reference electrode thus composed can be formed in fine dimensions and silver is not dissolved out. |
