Device D for handling test-boring pipes 1 or the like, intended to be mounted beside a test-boring apparatus 2, particularly provided on an all-roads vehicle, which test-boring apparatus comprises a frame 3 equipped with a driving head 4, which can move along this frame and is intended to drive a pipe string in rotation. It comprises a mast 5 which can tilt through 180 DEG about a transverse axis A-A, this mast being equipped with transverse arms 14, 15 provided with members 16 for grasping the test-boring pipes 1, this mast being mounted in a rotary manner about its longitudinal geometric axis B-B. This device makes it possible to place a new pipe 1 between the head 4 and the string of pipes driven into the ground. <IMAGE>
