The invention relates to a device to which the tubular tyre is fixed in advance, and which fits onto the saddle stem of a bicycle. It consists of an open cylinder 1 whose lower ends 2 have been turned up in order to form a support, which facilitates the installation of the device simply by pressing, on the saddle stem. A flat part 3 acts as a support for the tubular tyre when it is installed. This flat part 3 is pierced with two rectangular holes 4 through which is passed a strap 5 which has holes 6 and two studs 7 which, fitting into one another, make it possible to clamp the tubular tyre to a greater or lesser extent according to its size. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for racing bikes or sports bikes equipped with tubular tyres or possibly with foldable wired-on (clincher) tyres. <IMAGE>
