The invention relates to a device making it possible to warn the users of a road at any moment of the dangers or risks represented by offences or by several natural phenomena. This device consists on the one hand: of transmitters 9, 10, 11 placed on the roadway, and sending constant or variable information according to the fluctuations in the traffic, given by a central unit 16, and on the other hand: receivers arranged on board vehicles 20, 21, 22 and linked to means for analysis and signalling which display the recorded information on passing the said transmitters, with the aid of sound and optical signals.
