PURPOSE:To shorten the wiring distance of input-output lines and to improve the using efficiency of inputs and outputs, so as to obtain a highly reliable control system, by annularly connecting the input-output section of plural sequencers with an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The input-output section of plural sequencers PC1-PCn, each of which is equipped with an optical signal output section OUT which converts serial data into optical signals and sends the converted optical signals to an optical fiber OF which is a serial data transmission line and an optical signal input section IN which converts the serial data sent from the optical fiber OF into electrical signals, is annularly connected by the optical fiber OF. Each sequencer has control data areas of the sequencers PC1-PCn, the number of which corresponmds to those that can be connected with the serial data transmission system, in its built-in control data memory and endlessly repeates steps of execution of a user program, output of calculated results, and transmission and reception of the control data of each sequencer. |
