摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain at a high speed a magnetic recording medium which excels in the magnetic characteristics and practical durability, by forming a concave surface for vapor evaporation when a ferromagnetic thin film is formed by vapor deposition on a substrate which moves along a rotary supporter. CONSTITUTION:A rotary supporter 8 consisting of a metallic thin belt is revolved at a fixed speed while having a partial contact with rollers 9-12 respectively. The form of a convex surface formed by the metallic thin belt is produced by rollers 9 and 10; while the concave surface is formed by a permanent magnet 15 having a concave surface, the metallic thin band and a magnetic matter. The metallic thin belt 8 which is fed out by a feed shaft 17 via the free rolls 18 is electrified with irradiation of electron beams 20 radiated from an electron gun 19 and is attached close to a substrate 16 by the electrostatic attraction. The substrate 16 attached to the belt 8 is exposed to a part 23 of the steam current obtained by heating a ferromagnetic material 22 which is electrified within a vapor evaporation container 21. Thus a desired magnetic layer is obtained. This magnetic layer is taken up to a take-up shaft 24. |
