PURPOSE:To control linearly at a switchboard side and to reduce exchange processing by performing howler transmission control on a subscriber line which connects a subscriber terminal device to a subscriber circuit by an voice out-band signal. CONSTITUTION:A howler sound source 10 is connected to the subscriber device 9 and a howler transmission control signal from the switchboard side is received by the subcriber terminal device. The howler sending circuit in the subscriber terminal device is controlled by a howler transmission control signal and the signal of the howler sound source 10 is sent out to a subscriber 16. The subscriber terminal device 9 detects whether a subscriber is in an on-hook state or not, and its detection signal is passed through a subscriber line, repeated to the subscriber circuit 11 by the voice out-band signal, and further recorded in a subscriber state display memory that a main controller 12 has corresponding to the subscriber circuit. The main controller 12 controls the subscriber circuit 11 so that various states of the subscriber are controlled. Various state control signals are repeated to the subscriber terminal device 9 by the voice out-band signal to perform control operation according to the various states. |
