<p>Method and device for purifying gas (9) of their electrically conducting particles, particularly for purifying exhaust gas from Diesel engines of their soot particles. According to the present invention, the gas flow with the substantially neutral particles is divided into at least two partial flows (19, 20) which are directed towards two electrodes (21 and 22) of opposite potential and which are charged thereat by colliding with the electrodes. The differently charged particles are displaced under the influence of the electric field (E1) and get together to form larger electrically neutral agglomerates which may be easily separated from the gas flow in a mechanical separator (15) provided downstream. </p> |
