PURPOSE:To obtain a tire vulcanizer capable of preventing the increase in the exchanging and setting time of molds when tires of different sizes are vulcanized by a method in which an upper mold is directly connected to the expandible part of liquid-pressure expansion mechanisms and the expanding or shrinking amount is varied according to the heights of each mold. CONSTITUTION:The first and second cylinders 61 and 62 are operated in the closing and pressurizing stage, the piston rods 63 and 64 are projected (or extended), and the first and second upper molds 67 and 68 are lowered. When the aperture between the first upper and lower molds 67 and 9 is smaller than that between the second upper and lower molds 68 and 10, the projected amount (or extended amount) of the piston rod 63 of the cylinder 61 becomes smaller than that of the piston rod 64 of the cylinder 62, a difference is produced in the projected amounts of the piston rods 63 and 64, and thereby the difference between the height H of the first upper and lower molds 67 and 9 and the height K of the second upper and lower molds 68 and 10 is absorbed. |
