PURPOSE:A doffing apparatus, having a drum part for winding waste yarns and a guide part for the waste yarns with introductory grooves between a protector and a bobbin inserting part, and capable of simplifying the doffing operation. CONSTITUTION:An almost round protector 5 is inserted in the bottom of a bobbin inserting part (1b) of a spindle 1, and a bowl-like bobbil seat 6 having a drum part 7 for winding waste yarns and a guide part 8 for the waste yarns is detachably provided above the protector 5. The top edge of the guide part 8 has introductory grooves (9a) and (9b) for introducing a cross-over yarn (W1) or (W2) between a bobbin 2 inserted in the spindle and the bobbik seat 6 druing the turning of the cross-over yanr (W1) or (W2) around the guide part 8 respectively. The introductory grooves (9a) and (9b) perform a function of cutting the cross- over yarn (W1) or (W2) in removing the bobbin 2 from the spindle 1. |
