PURPOSE:To simply and exactly close the space between a gate door and the ground by forming a notched part into which the running rail of the gate door is dropped in the moving rail of a sliding door type tide preventive gate door for closing the opening of a dam. CONSTITUTION:The metallic door of a tide gate for closing the opening of a dam is made of a metal material, e.g., extruded Al shape member, rail steel, etc., and wheels 4 and 5 running on the rails 3a and 3b are attached to the down side of the metallic door. Also, notched parts 3c and 3d are formed on the rails at the places where the wheels 4 and 5 are positiond when the opening is closed by the door, and a auxiliary rail 4' and auxiliary rails 3d and 3f are also provided on the widthwide center of the door. The gate door is moved sideways by the wheels 4 and 5 on the rails 3a and 3b, the auxiliary rail 4', and auxiliary rails 3e and 3f to close the opening of the dam and drop in the notched parts 3c and 3d, whereupon the whole of the metallic door goes down to close completely the space between the gate door and the ground. Thus, the leakage of water from the dam can be prevented. |
