摘要 PURPOSE:To manufacture through a simple production process, a negative pole, in which an alloy of negative pole material and a collector are combined en bloc while the alloy does not break away from the collector, by a method wherein a porous metal collector is dipped into a molten alloy capable of occluding and discharging alkaline metal ions electrochemically and then pulled up. CONSTITUTION:An alloy 2 capable of occluding alkaline metal ions during the process of charge while emitting alkaline metal ions during the process of discharge is melted, while a porous metal collector 4 is dipped into said molten alloy 2 and then pulled up so as to form said alloy 4 on the collector 4. For instance, Wood's alloy consisting of Bi: 50wt%, Cd: 12.5wt%, Pb: 25wt% and Sn: 12.5wt% is used as a negative pole material and a long band-shaped nickel expand metal 4 of the collector is introduced into a melting jar 1 housing a molten Wood's alloy, and the negative pole, in which the collector and the alloy are made en bloc while the alloy being stuck on its surface, is wound round a roller 5.
