The title compds. I≮R1 = C1-20, n-, or branched alkyl; R2 = H, halo, C1-4, n- or branched alkyl, alkoxy, (CH2)n n = 3-5;R3 = C3-10 n- or branched alkyl! were prepd. Thus, 10g 1-(2-cyano- 4-hexanoilaminophenoxy)-2,3-epoxypropanol was dissolved in 1000 ml EtOH, and 8.3g isopropylamine was added. The mixt. was refluxed and recrystalized with acetonitryl for 1 hr. to give 3.8g I. I can be used in the treatment or prevention of coronary heart disease and angina.
