PURPOSE:To significantly reduce the water temperature distribution at the time of completion of boiling when a circulation flow rate is large and to reduce a rapid drop in temperature of the delivery hot water as much as possible at the time of the hot water delivery in a water boiler in which a hot water reservoir is separated from a heat source and high temperature hot water heated by the heat source is spouted out of the top of the reservoir by a circulation pump to form a layer of high-temperature hot water. CONSTITUTION:In a water boiler in which a heating circuit is made up by arranging sequentially from the bottom of a reservoir 3 an inlet pipe 6, branches 6a, 6b, circulation pumps 4a, 4b, flow rate regulating valves 11a, 11b, heat sources, 5a, 5b, branch pipes 8a, 8b of a hot water feed pipe 8 and the hot water feed pipe 8, by disposing a flow speed adjusting body 12 in an upper part of the reservoir, the high-temperature hot water from the hot water feed pipe 8 is significantly reduced in its speed and is redirected from a vertical flow to spout out evenly in a horizontal direction so that the convection in the reservoir 3 may be prevented to realize an upper layer of the high-temperature hot water without a temperature distribution. In wintry seasons etc., the water temperature in the heating circuit may be reduced due to the ambient temperature after completion of boiling, and the water may be flowing down into the inlet pipe due to the increased specific gravity. In order to allow such a counter-convection in the heating circuit, a small orifice 17 is disposed in the flow rate regulating valve.
