CHANGE-OVER DEVICE FOR TRANSVERSE FEED LINE OF STARTING SHEET

PURPOSE:To feed continuously starting sheets with a smaller floor area by repositioning the starting sheets which are horizontally conveyed in an arraying line for the starting sheets in a perpendicular state and storing temporarily the sheets then conveying by plural sheets each to a supplying line by means of a transverse feed conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A ribbon is engaged with the top end edge of thin sheets of pure copper, and the starting sheets K inserted with a beam in the ribbon are conveyed horizontally in a sheet arraying line A. The sheets K are then perpendicularly erected by means of a cylinder 1b and a ring 1c in a receiving base 1a supported pivotally to a frame F. The sheets are moved upard by a hook 2b provided to the chain 2a of a lifting device 2 and are stored temporarily on a stock rail 4 by means of an ejecting cylinder 3. Several sheets each of the sheets K are pushed out to a transverse feed conveyor C, and are suspended to the tray 5d of an endless chain 5c. The sheets are successively supplied to the supplying line provided in parallel with the line A at the other end of the conveyor C.
