<p>PURPOSE:To designate easily the position on a picture display part by detecting cutting off of the light by shifting at least either one of a light emitting means set at the fringe of one side of the display part and a photodetecting means set at the other side fringe of the display part along the outer edge of the display part. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting means 1 and a photodetecting means 2 are shifted at an equal speed along the fringe of a picture display part P shown by horizontal lines by means of a motor 7, a pulley 6, a roller R, a belt 5 and a spring S having a fixed end. The start and end terminals of the means 1 are detected by photodetecting means 3 and 4, and signals sent to the motor 7 and a counter 8. When the photodetecting means is hidden by an object 10, the cut-off of light is detected 9. Then the signal is supplied to the counter 8, and the (x) coordinates are obtained from the count value of the conter 8. While the (y) coordinates are counted 16 by a light emitting means 11 and a photodetecting means 12 also in the (y) direction like the (x) direction. As a result, the two- dimensional coordinates of pictures can be easily designated and delivered to a picture display device with no aid of CRT pictures.</p> |
