PURPOSE:To provide a hair cosmetic giving smoothness and gloss to the hair and facilitating the combing of hair, by using globular powder of water-insoluble polymer and a cationic compound as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair cosmetic contains (A) 0.1-20wt%, preferably 0.3-15wt% of globular powder of water-insoluble polymer having the maximum particle diameter of preferably <=100mu and an average particle diameter of preferably 1-75mu, especially 2-50mu, and (B) 0.1-15wt%, preferably 0.2-10wt% of a cationic compound selected from quaternary ammonium salts and cationic polymers. The cationic compound is e.g. the compound of formula I (R1 is 14- 22C alkyl or benzyl; R2 is CH3 or 14-22C alkyl; R3 and R4 are 1-3C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; X is halogen or methylsulfate group) or the polymer of formula IIor III (R5 and R6 are H or CH3; X is halogen; p is 150-6200), etc. |
