PURPOSE:To favorably separate between magnetic ores and nonmagnetic cores through disintegrating a material to be treated in a flocculated condition, by providing a crusher at the stage next to each magnetic separator. CONSTITUTION:A slurry F introduced into a liquid-supplying port 12 is passed through a matrix 14 of a magnetic separating part S1 located in a magnetic field space 13 generated by opposite magnetic poles 11, when magnetic particles M are caught by the matrix 14, and the slurry T1 containing nonmagnetic materials is discharged through a liquid-discharging port 15. The magnetic particles M1 adhered to the matrix 14 are washed away by washing water W when the matrix 14 is located in a nonmagnetic field space 16 by the rotation of the magnetic separator. Then, the magnetic particles M1 thus washed away are supplied into a crusher G1, where flocks of the magnetic particles are crushed, and a slurry containing magnetic particles M1' is fed into a liquid-supplying port 12 for the next-stage magnetic separating part S2. These operations are repeated a plural number of times, whereby the concentration of iron component in the magnetically attracted material is raised, and a final magnetically attracted material M is obtained. |
