Apparatus for use in building frames for machine guard systems has a number of parts and may be sold as a kit of parts. The parts include: 1. a length of extruded metal (12) of indefinite length having a longitudinal recess (22); 2. at least one metal rod (18) of indefinite length having a cross-sectional shape which is complementary to that of the recess (22) in such a manner that the rod (18) can be inserted in the recess (22) by rotating it about its own axis, each rod (18) having at least one threaded bore extending transversely therethrough; 3. a plurality of bolts (14) having threads complementary to the bores; 4. a plurality of brackets (10A) which may be held to the frame members (12) by the bolts (14). |
