PURPOSE:To display automatically the direction of pressure distribution, etc. of a sealing mode and to attain an automatic collation of a seal accurately by using a means to store a picture having a contour part symmetrical with rotation and a means to detect the cumulative value of concentration within a prescribed quadrant right under the parallel lines which are equidistant from the center of rotation. CONSTITUTION:A picture input device 10 of a picture feature detecting system reads the seal data having contour parts symetrical with rotation and stores it to a picture memory 20. This read seal data is processed by a microprocessor 40 in accordance with the program of a main memory 50. With the processing of the processor 40, the cumulative value is detected for the concentration within a prescribed quadrant of pictures right under one or more pairs of parallel lines which are equidistant from the center of rotation. This cumulative value is set at the length which crosses the countor parts of said parallel lines. Then the direction of a pressure distribution, etc. of a sealing mode is automatically displayed to a picture display device 30. Thus a automatic and accurate collation is possible for seals.
