PURPOSE:To ensure the high efficiency for the paper sheet counting process of a sheet counter by stopping the paper sheet feed operation when the sheets stored at the 1st sheet store part are all taken out and then restarting the paper sheet feed operation when the paper sheet is added to said store part after the coincidence is obtained between the sheet number set previously and the counted sheet number. CONSTITUTION:The bank notes are put on a stage 2 of the main body 1 of a paper sheet counter and then taken out one by one by a conveyor belt 3 to a store stage 23 which serves as the 2nd sheet store part within the main body 1. A counting roller 38, a counting switch 45, etc. are provided to the conveyor path of the main body 1, and at the same time a sheet setting device is provided to an inside mechanism of the body 1. The feed of the bank notes is stopped by a push-up plate 25 when the bank notes on the stage 2 are all taken out. Then the feed of bank notes is restarted when the bank note is added to the stage 2 after the coincidence is obtained between the set sheet number and the counted sheet number. The sheets are fed until said coincidence is obtained. This reduces the load of an operator. |
